Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient needs and progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
