Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain clean, sanitized patient environments
- Accurately document care activities and patient responses in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Maryland CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in a long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Passion for geriatric care and commitment to patient dignity
- Valid Maryland driver's license preferred
