Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support residents with mobility issues, utilizing assistive devices and transfer techniques to ensure safety and prevent injury.
- Medication Management: Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, assist with medication reminders and document administration as required.
- Emotional Support: Build meaningful relationships with residents by engaging in conversation, listening to concerns, and providing emotional companionship.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and shift reports in our electronic health management system.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Current Georgia CNA certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred for entry-level applicants.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic new graduates seeking to launch their healthcare career.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to perform physical tasks required in patient care.
