Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist with feeding and hydration needs, ensuring patients maintain proper nutrition and hydration levels.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and patients' families to ensure holistic care coordination.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition promptly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond to patient calls and requests for assistance with urgency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Maryland required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to show empathy and compassion.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
