Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition accurately.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Prepare and serve meals as ordered by the dietary department.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
