Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, administer medications as directed, and perform patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current State CNA Certification and active licensure.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
