Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient observations, symptoms, and care plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Ohio CNA License (CNA I or CNA II).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced healthcare team.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
