Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents/patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Mobility: Safely help patients move in and out of beds, wheelchairs, or onto stretchers to prevent injury.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and care activities in electronic health records.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- License & Certification: Must possess a current, active CNA license in the State of Nevada.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Reliability: Strong commitment to punctuality and professional reliability.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly desirable.
