Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents/patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or mood to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients during meal times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Participate in activities and therapeutic programs to enhance patient well-being.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Wisconsin CNA license (State Certified Nursing Assistant).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
