Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under supervision.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification in the state of Virginia.
- CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
