Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers safely throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be up to date.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
