Responsibilities
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to detect changes in health status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment, in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations swiftly and effectively, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive action.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred for high-acuity units.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New Grads with exceptional clinical rotations considered).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and adherence to hospital policies.
