Responsibilities
- Patient Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure maximum comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries.
- Care Plan Implementation: Execute personalized care plans under the supervision of registered nurses to meet patient needs.
- Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient observations and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid CNA license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
