Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Implement infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
