The Role: You will be the heart of our patient care team, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of life through personalized assistance and compassionate support.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs or using Hoyer lifts.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document patient progress, behaviors, and care plans in electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff, following strict safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Wisconsin required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for motivated candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and availability for full-time shifts.
