Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure residents maintain their dignity and hygiene.
- Assist with mobility, transferring, and ambulating patients safely using proper techniques and assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging residents in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Qualifications
- Current California CNA or PCA certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with seniors and families.
- Compassionate, patient, and patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform manual tasks.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
