Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans and daily observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state of Massachusetts.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
- High school diploma or GED required.
