Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses in accordance with state regulations.
- Document all care provided in patient medical records in a timely and precise manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the State of California.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols.
