Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor Patient Health: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Medical Staff: Support nurses and physicians with procedures, treatments, and patient transfers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized according to infection control standards.
- Document Care: Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records and care logs to ensure continuity of treatment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Texas State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Compassion: A strong patient-centered approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
