Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with facility protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nursing staff with wound care, specimen collection, and other basic medical procedures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to all safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a patient-centered approach to care.
