Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care plans and report any changes in resident behavior or health status to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Florida.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is preferred but not always required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
