Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living: Support patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming to ensure dignity and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Patient Mobility: Safely assist patients with transfers using proper body mechanics and mobility aids.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records in accordance with facility protocols.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a state-approved CNA program preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs; good manual dexterity and stamina.
