Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, to ensure the highest level of comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Foster a positive and therapeutic environment for patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and respect at all times.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
