Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the RN immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with mobility issues, transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
