Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, adhering to strict safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of Pennsylvania.
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Reliable transportation to various client locations within the Philadelphia area.
