Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify personal and insurance information, and prepare them for their appointment.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations by preparing instruments and assisting with minor procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient charts, file medical records, and schedule follow-up appointments efficiently.
- Lab Work: Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to strict protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus (but not mandatory for entry-level candidates).
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; we provide training.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA is required upon hire.
