Job Overview
The CNA will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, comfort, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report significant changes to nursing staff.
- Assist with feeding and maintaining a clean, safe patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification (State of Illinois).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
