Job Summary:
As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will ensure our patients maintain the highest quality of life while receiving the medical attention they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and position patients to prevent bedsores.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and transport them safely to different departments.
- Document patient care activities and symptoms accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR certification (BLS) upon hire or within 30 days of employment.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
