Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and privacy.
