Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist patients with mobility and range-of-motion exercises
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments following infection control protocols
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans
- Accurately document patient observations and care activities in EMR systems
Qualifications
- Active Michigan CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of acute care or long-term experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required (must be current)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation
- Valid Michigan driver's license for potential home visits
