Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as directed by nursing staff.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Hygiene & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and assist with meal services.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assistance: Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Colorado CNA license required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
