Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and treatment plans as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in electronic health records.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary health care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification in the state of Kansas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as required for patient care.
- Compassionate attitude with a strong desire to help others.
