Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, compassionate care to residents/patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition, concerns, or requests to the nursing staff and charge nurse.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Documentation: Complete all required documentation and charting entries in a timely and thorough manner.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid California CNA license and CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Attitude: A genuine passion for patient care and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
