Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures and examinations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in condition in the electronic health record system.
- Administer medications as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CNA Certification (State of California).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, push, and move patients as required.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
