Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment to ensure safety.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and updates.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel, strictly following safety protocols.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks as required by the job.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
