Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and updates.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel, strictly following safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks as required by the job.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
