Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and licensed therapists.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgical suites, and radiology using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the State of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Compassionate demeanor and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
