Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and report abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely from beds to wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and feeding plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Kansas CNA or STNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
