Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patients' comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support, helping patients move safely between bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to update care plans and report any changes in patient condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with healthcare safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Louisiana CNA Certification (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
