Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility hygiene standards.
- Administer medications as directed by the nurse and document administration correctly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong knowledge of infection control and proper body mechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
