Job Overview:
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in our clinic by ensuring smooth patient flow and delivering high-quality clinical support to our providers. You will be the face of our clinic, ensuring every patient feels welcomed and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vitals, and accurate health histories.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician and assist during the visit.
- Assist with basic laboratory procedures, EKGs, and specimen collection.
- Maintain and update patient medical records in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and communicate effectively with insurance providers.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National certification required).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting (immediate hire considered for exceptional candidates).
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
