Your Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for. You will work closely with our physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and accurate patient measurements.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical records and verifying insurance information.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinate lab specimens and ensure timely delivery to the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.
