Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures and patient examinations.
- Prepare and serve patient meals according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately.
- Respond to patient calls and emergencies promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Current, active Texas CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
