Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking as needed.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding plans.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by the state of New Mexico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
