Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and personal hygiene tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation logs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitized at all times.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and dignity.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED required.
