Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient status and care needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA License.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
