Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff and document all treatments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient conditions.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina CNA certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
