Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs to ensure safety and comfort.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a positive attitude.
