Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment according to infection control protocols.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) and care plans.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (CPR) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.
