Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs according to facility standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medication as directed and supervised by registered nurses.
Qualifications
- Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (mandatory).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina required to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
