Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores (pressure ulcers).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Assist with meal planning and feeding patients with special dietary needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to obtain a CNA certification (if not already held) upon employment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
